Your Contribution As a Financial Controller, you are responsible for the monthly closing process and ensuring the accuracy of financial positions in the profit and loss statement and balance sheet. You analyse financial data and support the business with clear, reliable, and timely reports. In addition to the monthly close, you will work on various additional projects, such as grower price calculations, budget analyses, and project management within your strategic business areas. You support the business controllers by sharing financial insights and translating existing data into comprehensive reports in order to stimulate decision-making within the organization.
Specifically, your main tasks include :
- Understand data flows from ERP systems like Oracle Netsuite into the financial general ledger
- Adopt new financial processes to enhance efficiency in reporting and analysis
- Perform financial controls and analyses to ensure accurate monthly P&L and balance sheet figures
- Analyze and report financial results to support business controllers and management decisions
- Guide financial management of ongoing projects within your strategic business areas
- Conduct grower price calculations and support pricing strategies
- Maintain cost price calculations and develop budget analyses
- Ensure proper financial documentation and compliance with audit standards
- Collaborate closely with internal finance stakeholders, including the Finance Manager NL, Group Controller, and Budget Holders to improve financial processes
Your Profile You are a driven and analytical finance professional who can seamlessly switch between details and the bigger picture. You communicate clearly and can explain complex financial information in an understandable way. You transform the business’s data needs into a structured reports.
Additionally, you have:
- A bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Finance & Control or a related field
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a financial control role
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive attitude in obtaining necessary (non)financial information
- Experience with ERP systems, particularly Oracle Netsuite, is a plus
- Fluency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
- Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft applications
